Converts a topic code (like geo) into a topic name (like Geography) which is the variable part of the category subtopic name for a given language. Using topic code geo for "French" as an example:

  • {{Expand language/decode|geo}} ⟶ Geography

The corresponding subcategory for French is: Category:Geography articles needing translation from French Wikipedia. See Template:Expand language#Topics and categorization.
