This template may be added to pages where there is a problem with the use, formatting, or quality of the page's taxobox. Common issues include:
- Incorrect or outdated taxonomy
- Visible error messages caused by missing taxonomy templates or other issues
- Missing list of subtaxa, such as an page for a genus with no list of species
- Links are missing or incorrect
- assistance is needed to upgrade to an automated taxobox
